Position Overview:
Midland High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to assist in our Welding Lab and Classroom. This position provides support to both the instructor and students in the learning environment, ensuring that the lab is safe, organized, and conducive to hands-on learning. No prior experience is required, but a basic knowledge of welding technology is helpful.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Welding Instructor with classroom and lab activities.
- Help set up and maintain welding equipment and materials.
- Supervise students during hands-on welding exercises to ensure safety and proper technique.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe lab environment.
- Monitor student progress and assist with classroom management.
- Support the teacher in preparing instructional materials and equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of welding technology and techniques (helpful, but not required).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying skill levels.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be reliable, dependable, and safety-conscious.
