Job Summary:
The Special Education Paraprofessional works one-on-one with students receiving special education support.
Responsibilities:
- Support for special needs students.
- Lunch supervision.
- Access to support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven organization and time management skills
- The ability to provide positive guidance to students in a manner that communicates dignity and respect.
- The ability to explain curriculum expectations following directive from the teacher.
- The ability to work professionally with staff, students, and other providers.
- Basic understanding of technology
- Dependable attendance
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sit, stand, bend, and walk frequently.
- Must be able assist students with physical needs, lifting with assistance may be required.
